So often she is among her sisters in a bouquet born of love but, truly, she needs no companions ... a single rose is cypher for a unique passion, one to love but one alone.

Oh, Whisperer, you are speaking from the age of the here-and-now, but let me take you, and our Mythstitchers, back to when numerals were more than niceties. The Tree of Life has many branches and topmost is the First, reaching to the Heavens. Its roots lead to the Underworld. It is the ONE.
It is, indeed, the Tree of all Life.
So ... the Tree signifies the wholeness of both Worlds, and the creatures of the wild know this. Many of them live their lives, short or spell-spun, within its protection. From its uppermost leaves where butterflies crown it with a fluttering diadem of beauty, to its roots enmeshed by the threads of living fungi and traversed by tiny souls both mortal and of Other realms.
