Swans, shimmering silver-white in the slight rains of spring. On the water, they embody elegance, though an ungainly gait surely ensured they eschewed the Ark's boarding plank for a stately swim, and short flight into its embrace. To harm a swan is thought to bring ill-fortune; to feed and watch them certainly brings joy!

Dear Whisperer, you love swans as much as I, but we see them differently! I remember two proud birds drinking from Urd, the Sacred Well of the Gods at Askard, its mythic waters turning them pure white. And no Jury condemned them.
What Jury? I hear you ask, Mythstitcher.
Few escape the Jury of the Otherworld, the Judges of Wisdom.
The light of the Sacred King, his year of rule at an end, is killed, vanquished by his dark blood-brother, who assumes his bright vestment and brings life to the new year, in turn accepting his fate - to die in turn. Their Judge is the Goddess, weighing the merits of each and bestowing her nature-gifts: the beasts and crops over which she holds sway. She is the blind wielder of the sword and holds the balance of life in her free hand. She is Wisdom and has gone by many names.
The first to gather all twelve NFTs will receive the original embroidery of this growing icon, stitched by the hand of the Embroidery Whisperer. All who complete the journey receive a gift.

"Why the wren?" I hear you ask.
We will speak more of her in a later Canto, but for now she comes to you as one of another duo, another concept of the contrasting, complementary pair, the Yin and the Yang and the duality of the seasons. She is Jenny, the Queen of nature's smaller kingdom, the realm of little creatures, and her sway is over the coming of winter. Her King is Robin, the bright, red-breasted ruler of spring and the return of life. Together they hold the fate of the wild places within their beating hearts. She is the Goddess, he the Lord, and their pulsating dance is the pas de deux of the countryside.
