"Three, Three, the Rivals"

Even in the seemingly tranquil realm of flowers, rivalry spreads its troublesome tendrils!
 Tares can thrust themselves into a field of tended grain, just as one member of a family can cause mischief in the happiest of communal lives, but rivalry is also nature's catalyst for the evolution of species.  Marsh mallows need their foothold in damp, drenched soil, while the common mallow has strengthened itself and pressed on into dry, challenging habitats, leaving its cousin abandoned in wet places.  The stately hibiscus, a foreign member of the clan, has evicted them both from the garden, its natural beauty ensuring its success across the globe.  I ponder these things as I enjoy both hedgerow and flowerbed ...

The ringing tone of the number THREE echoes down the millennia.  The fallen and reborn Kings are now ritually joined by the Mother Goddess, the balance restored as she makes stable the Trinity.  There are many versions of this line in our ancient song.  Our "Strangers" are sometimes hailed as "Strivers", and the three must work through events in full before destiny can move on.  Their apparent rivalry is perhaps essential in building the strength of the trio.

For all three are ultimately beneficial.  Just as the multitudinous family of mallows are all welcoming to insects and vital to their lives, so this  threesome will provide succour to our world, safeguarding the fruitfulness of the seasons in their mystical hands.

Three becomes one.
